University of California 2011 Accountability Report

As a publicly funded institution, the University of California is accountable to the people of California for how well it performs.

The 2011 UC Accountability Report provides the third annual comprehensive assessment of the University's progress in meeting key teaching, research and public service goals across its 10 campuses. The data will inform the University's strategic planning, budgeting and performance management, as well as help the governing Board of Regents identify the most important policy issues facing UC.

The report's scope will be expanded and refined over time; sub-reports scheduled throughout the year will explore specific areas of the University's enterprise in more depth.

This version includes 119 individual indicators across 13 categories, assessing progress in areas like undergraduate success, financial aid, diversity, research and budget. Most of the indicators present data for individual UC campuses as well as for the system as a whole.

We welcome your feedback on the report and your ideas for making it better.
